Raising headstones

Flat stones sink

That’s just Nature doing what it does — freezing the ground, then thawing the ground, over and over as the years pass.
Because headstones remain the property of the people who bought them, and subsequently their heirs, the family may take it upon themselves to raise a marker that has sunk.
It you would like the cemetery to do it, there is a nominal charge, which is considered a donation. Raising a single stone (up to 24 inches wide) is $25, and a double (25 to 48 inches wide) is $35.
